Unlike her pre­de­cessor, the new pre­si­dent, Samia Suluhu Hassan, sup­ports the vac­ci­na­tion cam­paign pro­moted by the WHO, among others, and pushed it for­ward. She was also the first to be vac­ci­nated against Covid-19 on 28 July 2021 as a »role model« for her com­pa­triots. However, there were also voices that doubted that the Pre­si­dent had been injected with more than just a placebo.
